Salt water pool the healthy alternative

Salt water is good for the skin

Salt water has numerous positive effects on the skin. Among other things, salt water has a disinfecting, anti-inflammatory and cleaning effect, which can help with acne or other blemishes. It also promotes wound healing. However, you should avoid going into the salt water pool with a fresh wound, as this can be painful. Since salt water penetrates deeper into the skin than conventional water, the mineral supply to the skin is increased.

Compared to chlorine, salt water is better tolerated by most people and makes bathing more pleasant.

Salt water strengthens the immune system

Salt water strengthens the immune system and stimulates blood circulation. This makes you less susceptible to infections and other diseases.

Salt water pools are easier to maintain

When the saltwater pool is let in, salt is simply poured into the water. 40 kg of salt are sufficient for 10 m³.

The salt dissolves in the water and is sufficient as a medium for electrolysis. The salt is not consumed during electrolysis, which is why the salt water can be used again in the next pool season.

Since the salt water system runs fully automatically, you can go on vacation without hesitation. In contrast to the chlorine pool, the pH does not have to be checked regularly.

No smell of chlorine

One of the biggest advantages of the salt water pool is that you no longer smell of chlorine. Neither near the pool, nor on the skin or hair after bathing.

No irritated eyes when diving

The eye is surrounded by a saline tear fluid. The salt concentration of this is approximately 0.9%. Since there is only a salt concentration of 0.4% in the salt water pool, the salt water in the pool does not irritate the eyes.

The salt concentration in the sea is approx. 3.55%, which leads to eye irritation, since it is approx. 9 times more saline than the tear fluid in our eyes.

Salt is a natural product

Salt is a natural product and therefore more environmentally friendly and better tolerated than an artificially produced pool chemistry. In addition, unlike chlorine, it can be stored without any regulations.

Salt is cheaper than chlorine

25 kg of commercial or evaporated salt only costs around € 9. For about 12 € you get 40 kg which is enough for 10 m³ pool water.

L.A.Neverland Tip:

You can also use real sea salt.

It has the same elements as her blood.

It would be a bath like in the sea.

It doesn’t get any healthier.

Of course, sea salt, rock salt or Himmalaya salt costs a little more.

But it’s worth it!

Lower power consumption

Due to the high disinfection power of the salt, the filter runtime is shorter than with chlorine. This saves electricity costs.

Retrofitting possible afterwards

Retrofitting to a salt water pool is possible without any problems. It should only be noted that non-salt-resistant components are replaced. I.e. Stainless steel parts must be replaced with components made of plastic or titanium.
